With over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Daniel Sosa has dedicated his career to providing exceptional care for pets of all kinds. As the Medical Director and Owner of Boca Palms Animal Hospital, he brings a wealth of knowledge in small animal general medicine, surgery, and emergency care. His extensive background in treating cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and small mammals has made him a trusted name in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Sosa is a compassionate veterinarian with over two decades of companion animal and exotic pet general medicine, surgery and emergency medicine. His clinical approach to each case includes gathering information through physical examination, medical records review, and diagnostic testing, and interpretation. Dr. Sosa received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University – College of Veterinary Medicine, Ithaca, NY and his Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from Mercy College In Dobbs Ferry, NY. He graduated Summa Cum Laude.
As the Owner and Medical Director of Boca Palms Animal Hospital, Dr. Sosa’s singular focus on Nose-to-Tail care Every Patient, Every Time, the quality of life of his patients, and leading his team to meet those standards every day.

Dr. Sosa’s daily routine includes:
- Daily leading morning medical rounds, interactive case review, and staff education for case management purposes.
- Providing excellent medical care for various species of animals, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
- Performing surgical procedures including soft tissue surgery, spays, neuters, declaws, beak repair, shell repair, and dental extractions.
- Developing and implementing species-specific treatment protocols and husbandry recommendations.
- Mentoring exotic animal medicine, husbandry and handling techniques.
- Managing urgent care cases, including trauma and toxicities.
- Diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute conditions and traumatic injuries.
